Exchange day on citizen initiatives and radioactivity measurement in Brussels on June 4
On June 4, a workshop will explore European initiatives on citizen radioactivity measurements, highlighting existing projects and discussing the challenges they face.
The event, held at the Maison Irène et Frédéric Joliot-Curie in Brussels, aims to encourage collaboration and explore future opportunities for strengthening the European dimension of citizen science in monitoring radioactivity measurements. Discussions will focus on key topics such as the sustainability of citizen initiatives and the integration of citizen data into decision-making processes, with a particular emphasis on broadening participation in Eastern Europe.
OpenRadiation will be at the heart of the subject, as after an overview of current projects in Europe concerning citizen radioactivity measurements, their structure and objectives, an exhibition of radioactivity measurement equipment is planned.
